Made in bitsy with borksy for the Fuck Capitalism jam.
I almost didn't make anything for it, but I was
inspired by the 74th bitsy jam's theme: The Little Things.

Genius
Loved it
The pacing on this is so good! Every conversation is so well-crafted to both contribute to the overall direct theme and add a beautiful sense of foreboding.
Wow. Did you record pretty much every annual review I've ever had? I loved this game!
The commentary is so freaking good!
As someone who's parent works a job they dislike to make ends meet for us, as a kid I decided to turn my hobby playing games into a profession, so I wouldn't have to choose.
I started preparing myself from a young age. But now that I am actually in the industry, I've realized I see it as work often more than a passion. There are times I fear that I might even lose the passion of games I had as a child that led me to decide to combine this hobby with my career for income security.
And yet I understand that it really is a privilege to be in the position I am in.
I guess the thing here is that the "make your hobby your job", mentality is not as simple and straightforward as people are typically led to believe.
Great conversation. When I was younger I used to be heavily influenced by this "choose a job you love" mindset. Now I know it's not that simple. I think it can be even dangerous to follow that advice, since it may lead some people to tolerate high levels of exploitation while they try to find the "job they love".
Thank you! Yes, you make a great point. The passion tax is a huge problem, especially in creative industries, but everywhere else as well. It’s a really harmful mindset.
Awesome! You're great at writing dialogue :)
It's true. We're told so much about what to think, when in reality a different society may be possible if we just question the one we live in.
Thank you so much! Yes, it’s sad to think about how different things could be, though it’s also empowering to realize how much sway we could have over potential change.
It's a great forever descent. Gotta meet that boss.
I love taking my daily great descent into the depressing pits of capitalism! Thanks, love :P
